To mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, a brand new United Kingdom £2 has been released.

On 8th May 1945, Allied forces of WWII accepted the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. The day came to be known as Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day for short. It ultimately signalled the end of the Second World War, and would remain etched in British history forevermore.
