Today, you have the opportunity own this D-Day Historic Coin Set in a limited edition capsule presentation…
The crown that changed everything
Issued in 1965 to celebrate the life of Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s greatest ever Prime Minister, best known for steering his country to victory in World War Two, the Churchill Crown was the first British coin to feature anyone outside of the Royal Family.
For that reason, this coin is largely considered to be the coin that changed the face of British coinage indefinitely, making it one of the most famous coins from the last century and a must-have coin for any numismatic collector!
The second coin in the set is the 1971 Eisenhower Dollar, issued following the death of the United States’ 34th President and leading figure in the Normandy offensive as Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Dwight Eisenhower. A number were struck in copper-nickel for circulation, but this is the special collector version struck from 40% Silver.
Now, sourcing US coins from outside America is incredibly difficult and US coin collecting is one of the most competitive markets globally. What’s more, this coin is a first-year-of-issue, original Dollar and for these reasons, incredibly collectable.
