Alexander Graham Bell is known best for his invention of the world’s first successful telephone transmission. And now, 100 years his death, The Royal Mint have released a NEW £2 coin.

‘PIONEER OF THE TELEPHONE’

The first thing you’ll notice about this NEW £2 coin is its stunning design. The talented artist, Henry Gray, has designed the reverse which depicts the dial of a push-button phone. It very cleverly incorporates the words ‘PIONEER OF THE TELEPHONE’ and includes the year Bell was born and the year he passed.
